Located on 23rd St. at Guadalupe across from The University of Texas at Austin’s campus and between two large murals, the 23rd Street Artists’ Market is easy to find. The 23rd Street Artists’ Market features a wide variety of handcrafted items for sale by local artists, including jewelry, original art, apparel, leather goods and more! The 23rd Street Artists’ Market was established by citywide vote by the citizens of Austin in a public referendum in 1971. The market formally opened in 1972. It became an all handmade market in 1976. The market belongs to the artists and the public.
