Biographical Info

Chula League is a nonprofit formed in 2005 to support the arts, art education and artful outdoor spaces in East Austin managed by a small, grassroots board of directors.

We work to ensure that the arts and public outdoor spaces play a valued role in the educational, economic, and cultural well being of East Austin neighborhoods. Chula produces a variety of projects to achieve its mission and purpose, including its flagship event the Cherrywood Art Fair and the arts-mentoring program Little Artist BIG ARTIST.

Chula League’s Cherrywood Art Fair is an art filled two-day event showcasing local artists, live music, kids activities and great food in a free, family-friendly environment. Since its 2002 inception, the Fair has served as a destination for discerning holiday shoppers seeking unique, hand-crafted items from Texas artists and makers. Proceeds benefit Little Artist BIG ARTIST, our free afterschool arts mentorship program in six East Austin elementary schools. December 8 – 9, 2018 Saturday and Sunday 10am – 5pm
